PLASTIC RECONSTRUCTIVE AND REGENERATIVE SURGERY

Abstract

In this Letter to the Editor, the authors describe the impact of Dengue virus infection otbreak on the Italian transfusion system, and the measures implemented for the prevention of DENV transfusion transmission.

Since at the time of the submission of this Letter, epidemiological investigations by the competent authorities are still underway, the measures reported in this commentary will be adapted based on the epidemiological evolution and on the results of the integrated surveillance system investigations.
